Stories - A Family Tradition

Ever since I was a child growing up in the 50’s and 60’s, Santa has come to our home on Christmas Eve.  His visit was something I always looked forward to.  We have great memories from when Santa would pop in to see our sons as they were growing up and now we are continuing the tradition with our grandchildren.  What a joy to see the look on their faces when Santa comes through the door.

There is one visit when I was little that I will never forget.  One night my mom was fixing supper and asked me to go to the basement to get something for her.  We had an exposed basement which had a door at ground level.  To my surprise, lying on a table was Santa’s coat and pants!!!  I couldn’t get up the stairs fast enough to tell Mom what I had seen.  Was Santa in my basement in his long underwear?
