We have been coming to Williams Tree Farm for about 17 years. We go every year on the same date, November 27th. It started when my co-worker Lillie Reed told me about it. Well, it was just five of us that started the tradition. It has grown over the years to about 25 of us. Since we are from Chicago, we just love to come on the farm. Being in the city my whole life, Williams tree farm is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. There is so much to do for the kids and adults. We just love the crafts in the cabin. The food is great, love those apple donuts. After pictures around the fireplace and with Santa, it’s time to go out to the trees.
Once everyone is here we start to map out our hunt for the perfect tree. Oh the kids as well as the adults are so excited waiting for the horse and buggy. There is so much excitement once we get out to the trees. Oh my, which one are we going to pick? After picking our perfect tree it’s off to see the animals, pony rides, and the puppies. After all of the fun outdoors, it’s time to warm up with hot apple cider and apple donuts. The day has come to an end. Yes, we do make a day out of it. Now we head out to Cracker Barrel for dinner. What a great day, we are all looking forward to going to Williams Tree Farm on November 27th.
